Tips for planning your dream wedding day!

After planning a wedding myself - I have to say, I have some mad respect for all you brides out there! After all the planning and wedding day preporations I sat down and thought about some key take-aways to hopefully help guide you to a stress free wedding planning experience. Here's what I came up with...

1. TOP THREE.

Pick the top three things that are most important to you two. Invest in those things.

At the end of the day - choose what truly means the most to you two. You will look back and be so happy you didn't sweat the small things. This answer will be different for everyone but that's the beauty of each wedding! It is a unique day for every couple because every couple is different and I love that.

2. TAKE IT SLOW.

We strategically planned the day in advanced to be relaxed. It was really important to us to be present throughout every moment of the day. The day will go by super fast but planning for time to just be together is so important.

This could be a car ride with just the two of you, a first look, a private dinner for two, or even a designated time give each other letters or gifts.

3. You knew it was coming... PHOTO + VIDEO.

Photography and videography are SO important. I know it seems cliche to say this, as a photographer, BUT this is the only way to truly relive the day. I was so incredibly happy to have video + photo to look back on. They also capture the things you may miss or the people's reactions / expressions that you didn't see. I can't rave enough about our vendors and am beyond ecstatic to have these tangible memories of one of the most special days of our life. 4. HONEYMOON!

The honeymoon was such a highlight. I would highly recommend investing more in this area - getting *awayyy* together after such an incredible day is so important. We were able to just BE together and take in what just happened. If chilling is your thing, beach it up. If you're more of an adventure type - go on your dream adventure together!

5. DON'T COMPARE.

With 1,000's of pinterest worthy weddings right at your fingertips, it's easy to get caught up in it all. Just remember to stay true to YOU and remeber what matters most to you both.

At the end of the day - you are MARRYING YOUR BEST FRIEND. It doesn't get any better than that. What matters most will be standing right next to you. :)

There is no feeling like leaving with the love of your life and starting this new adventure together. People keep asking me if I am sad that all the wedding stuff is over and honestly my answer is no. I loved every second of that season, but I am SO happy to be in the right now. Everyday life together - thats what its all about. The ordinary moments and the big moments - t o g e t h e r.

Cheers to stress free wedding planning!
